ITVCs Destination Specific Travel Health Advice
Pre-travel health preparations and advice should form an important part of any plans you have to travel overseas.
Every country you visit is different. It will have its own culture, environment, customs and even the climate and fauna and flora may differ. That means that each time you travel the health requirements and travel vaccinations that are recommended may be different. Some countries won’t let you enter unless you’ve had the correct travel vaccinations, others may have different health risks you might be exposed to.
We recommend that you visit a Travel Vaccination Clinic at least 6-8 weeks before you travel to get personalised travel health advice based on your personal health and your destination(s). Remember, some vaccines require a long period to take effect and more than one dose may be required.
We also strongly recommend that you check the vaccination entry and exit requirements of all the countries on your itinerary before you leave. It would be horrible to be refused entry into a country because you have not been vaccinated.
To get you started, we have put together some of the broader recommendations for the following regions or countries to give you an idea of what health preparations and vaccinations may be needed when you travel to them.
